I'm not sure if this is normal but it appears that since he shed or she shed, the tail is completely different . Or has the tail not shed yet ???

It looks like the tail still will shed. Keep the little guy well-hydrated and maybe give him a soak to help that skin come off

Soak for 15-20 min. Mine can only handle about 20 min before they start trying to get out. While he's in the bath you can slowly drip water on the tip of their nose and they may lick it off or it may just naturally run into their mouth. While in the bath, if Beardie will allow it, you can gently run your fingers down the tail in the direction the scales go, that may help loosen up the skin. I say if he allows because I have one that doesn't like his tail to be touched!
