So I have posted before that Si was in brumation for 4mnths,woke up mid April..well it appears he is going back into"mid-summer"brumation..he's gonna give me anxiety!! He wakes up in morning when his lights come on,they are on a timer, stays awake long enough to eat his supers, then goes back to sleep the rest of the day! I wake him to give him warm bath every 2 days since he is eating, and he poos every other day..is anyone else going through this?

Might be worth it to reduce his food intake and add some more variety. Its possible that there simply is no reason for him to not be lazy. ;)

Can you post a picture of him? Sorry not sure if you have anywhere else, just want to see his fat pads and tail base before making any further recommendations.

Is that a heat mat/tape where he sleeps at night? I thought from the other pictures that it was a water dish. Love the rope lights by the way ;)

Ya, he looks fine, decent fat reserves and tail base.

Yea heat mat with a sticky tile covering it,then Plexiglas over that, the light are built in,I didn't know if they would bother him,I can unplug if I want, but obviously he likes them since that's where he sleeps:) I guess he's just a lazy boy..idk which is lazier,my English bulldog or dragon lol

It stays about 68 all the time, his enclosure never drops below 70,i was always told they need heat pad,so put one in,but i unplugged it months ago,but since it is built in it has to stay..the vet here has alot to learn about beardies! If he ever gets sick again,i will be taking him to Columbia to reptile specialist!

Ya, unfortunately most vets just know about cats and dogs. They often think because they took a single class back in 1982 that there isnt anymore to know ;)

When I asked around they all said oh Dr...... Is great with reptiles, she specializes in them, just because her son has bunch of reptiles doesn't make her a "specialist"!!
