A couple of years ago, I bought a 12 x 12 slate tile to use as a platform for a resin turtle/ dock/ basking spot. Leia has grown. And she keeps growing. I would place this resin turtle dock basking spot against the wall of the glass. She would get suck underneath and couldn't turn around so I wound up moving the stairs and 'cave' to the center of the tile. She would use 'the small hide' which is open on all sides as a pass through.

Now, I'm trying to find a new basking platform that isn't so 'heavy' to lift and take out and support her, so that she doesn't have to use her legs to support herself. She does climb up on the top of it. Sometimes, she'll use the steps as a basking platform. She's getting a mix of UVB and heat - since both fixtures are side by side.

I've been searching on Amazon for ideas and there are so many of them. I saw the feeding slates- and thought about getting that for her. I asked around for some help and haven't received any feedback.

My local pet stores have only small basking spots and none that are large enough to fit her. I have a home depot so I'll have to look around and see what they have.
