I'm a new member here, but I don't have a beardie just yet. I decided to join this forum first in case I run into questions before I actually take home my animal.
The only other reptile I've owned was a leopard gecko which I took in from my step-brother. It's been several years since then and I kind of miss having a reptile around the house so I decided to try another. I've been doing my research and slowly gathering materials. If all goes well, I plan on picking out my dragon at a reptile expo in 3 weeks. :)

Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for the links germ :)
I've actually seen the nutrition guide and the how to sex video already, but the others are new to me. I've decided I want to grow most of my beardie's veggies and breed roaches. Thanks to that nutrition page I got my plants picked out and planted (hopefully I can manage to keep them alive, haha).
I think all I need now is a tank, lights, and thermometers. I have a 55 gallon set up with a tile substrate and some decor right now, but I'm trying to sell it to get a 40 breeder instead.

Also, I've never actually been to a reptile expo before, and I can find little to no info on this particular expo online. Do any of you know what I should expect when I go?

About the expo, if it's anything like tropical fish, take some money. Ask a lot of questions. And you might find a beautiful Beardie there.

There's one in Tampa next month, I'm planning on going. I missed the one in Orlando last month, worried about spending money :-(

I think you had one in Daytona last month too. I have a friend that just moved there and she said she went to that one. I went to go visit her the weekend after, but she made it sound so cool that wished I went sooner haha.
As for money, she picked up a large exo-terra tank there for a steal. It was brand new and half Petco's price. I'd be worried about spending a lot too if that's a common thing at expos.
