We just picked up two Bearded Dragons this weekend after a great sell at Petsmart led us to trading the other two lizards in. The Bearded's are much more interesting than the two we had. Just being able to pick them up is all new to us. We currently have them in a 25gal long tank but, just got a deal on a 55gal long that will be the new home. We are not sure of the sex as they are a little small to tell. Looking forward to learning from all you Pro's out there.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but perhaps you should have checked into their care a little further ...

Wow thanks for the info. I guess that was a fail on PS to ask if we planned on housing together.

The pet store doesn't care, they made a sale, many will tell you that it is ok, others even, that it is better to have more than one. Many do it for the sale, others just because they don't know any better. But it is our responsibility as keepers to find out about the proper care of an exotic pet, prior to purchasing one.

Now, the thing is, an Error does not become a Mistake, until we refuse to Correct it ...

It may be a good idea to post pics of your setup in the 'Enclosures' section, so we may help you with that also. Please include your present temps, exactly where you are taking them from & with what type of thermometer, Brand & strength of the UVB bulb along with type & wattage of the Heat bulb your are using, what your lighting schedule is, what you are feeding & how often, what you have for substrate, etc.

Good Luck
