So after much planning and getting the enclosure together, picked up my new buddy today. I think the store told me he is a dunner morph. Will try to get better pictures when he's settled in.

He's so handsome! I can't wait to see more of him!!!!
The carpet I recommend switching to regular carpet, tile, or paper towel
There are little pieces on that carpet that he can eat by accident

So he has not been eating yesterday and shows no interest today as well. Is it normal for them not eating while getting used to a new environment?

Yes, it's very common it will take about a week or so for him to get used to his new environment. Just keep offering him food and if you cover three sides of his tank it will comfort him
