To be sure place the dragon on a kitchen table and hold the tail in the air like you have in the pic - we him/ her to be flat

Yes we got him in Nov. Working on him daily
So hes pretty young --- I would wait a few more months to be able to definitely be able to tell if hes a boy or girl --

From the photo you took, that looks male. Not the best angle though. If you get him on a table and bend his tail back at least 90 degrees it will show better and you can be more certain.

Alternatively when they are younger you can use a flashlight, this is the easiest and most certain. Shine the flashlight from behind a male will have 2 red dots in the base of his tail a female will not.
