For a little Dragon that is about 4-6" long will a 10 gallon be ok? If not what's the recommended size? I would to use the 10 gal I have or purchase a 20 gallon from a friend. I was hoping one of these sizes would be ok add the Dragon is small then on 8-12 months move on to a bigger home

Hi; And Welcome to BDF;The bigger the better lol; A 20-long is good for a small baby but you will have to buy bigger later, the temps; are much easier to keep in a 20-long. Usually a 40-breeder tank is recommended for a larger dragon or you can put the baby in it and section it off till he is a little bigger and older. With it sectioned off he can find his food easier.Hope this helps you a little and more will chime in soon-good luck and pics are nice too. river-7

They grow FAST! A 10 gallon is fine for about a week but it's very hard to get a temperature gradient in a 10 gallon. They need a basking spot and a cool side. It's cheaper in the long run to start out with a 40 gallon rather than buying a new tank every few months.

I found one 36" x 18" x 18" I'm going to pick it up today. I think this should be fine for a year?

Yep! That's the minimum even for an adult. I have both of mine in that size and they do just fine.
