Getting my first snake

Well I never thought I was going to get my own way but I somehow did. So today I'm buying my first snake ( hypo lavenda corn snake) I've been reading up but can't beat first hand advice/tips. So guys/ladies Can tips n advice Will b welcome along with name suggestions

Things not gone quite to plan, the hypo lavender isn't progresing enough to b released so brought a striped amel corn (female) and getting a male lavender corn in the near future. Can husbandry hints/tips would Be gratefull
