this is amazing for me! i've never seen images like these before as i'm not interested in breeding my girl - fascinating stuff though thank you for sharing!
Thanx everyone i appreciate u all taking the time to look at my pic i have another question. i know now this one is a good egg but I've got 6 others that are softer n the eggs are a yellow colour BUT they also have veins inside of them just like this one. they aren't collapsing or nothing it just looks like they didn't get enough calcium to get the nice white shell like the one in my picture. my question is will the yellow looking ones still hatch?
It's hard to say if they will go full term & not go moldy prior to hatching. I had a few that were discolored & soft, but more pinkish than yellow & they are still doing ok at just about 5.5 weeks, are actually bigger than the other eggs. I have pics here http://www.beardeddragonforum.com/index.php?threads/sandy-laid-again-pic-heavy.5832/page-3#axzz1y6sExGRY of the eggs themselves, no candling pics though, but they were candled & are fertile.
Well they are growing i know that much so i guess i will just wait and see how i go. after reading all the comments on the threat where ur pics are impo not going to open the incubator up anymore than i have to. I've got about 6 weeks to go i hope at least one survives but if not im pretty sure she's got another clutch in her tummy. she's already getting fat again lucky i have 2 incubators n plenty of tanks. just gotta set the lighting up then ill be all good. thanx for replying i appreciate it.
i have some fantastic news. my eggs have lil babies moving inside them so everything is looking positive atm even the softer shelled eggs have babies moving inside them. i also ended up with a second clutch of 26 with 14 fertile eggs. so i have 26 all together atm. I've set up their enclosure ready for when they hatch. just thought id give everyone an update. also spike has made a full recovery and is looking very healthy big thanx to all that gave me helpful advice.
thanx Pat B yeah im very excited. cant wait wish i could keep them all lol but could u imagine the cost of food for them lol. ive got homes for quite a few of them im def gonna keep one for myself.
how many u got all together germ? thanx again germ for all the advice u saved my lizards life giving me the advise u gave me. i appreciate it a great deal
That is awesome. Have you been following Germ's journey into beardie parenthood?? Just amazing how those little dragons develop in an egg....
OOPS.....just saw your post ....lol....
13 hatched - 3 more to go - 2 more that were really doubtful from the beginning & are starting to dimple & wrinkled. Started hatching 3 days ago on day 57. Pics & vid in my other thread.
i havent had a chance to read it yet but germ helped me out with a bearded dragon i was having trouble with. i followed all the advice i was given plus i took my beardie to the vet n a week or so later he started eating and he hasnt looked back. hes looking so healthy now i cant keep food away from him he eats everything
nawwwwwwwwwww they are so cute i cant wait to c what mine look like. ur lil ones look so adorable he he they are so little its crazy that they come from an egg. amazing lil creatures
Good to hear your dragon is healthy. This is the only forum that I go to about my beardie. There is so much information and some just isn't correct....but it is here. I too, probably would have killed my beardie if I didn't get the advice I got here since I didn't know what I was doing when I got him.... Good luck on your babies!!
