@Laura818 The coil UVB is not adequate -- Please get the long tube fixture I posted above - w/ the Reptisun 10.0 T 5 bulb or a 24" Arcadia Pro T5 12% bulb 24 watt -- the dome your using now is fine for a regular basking bulb and a CHE which produces heat NO light--- this would be used for winter or to boost surface basking temps in the tank which should be 105-110 for a baby and taken w/ a digital probe thermometer --- if you need links for the UVBs please ask I will post them for you --- please post your own thread I thought I was posting to the original poster above Rhaynes01 -- so I dont get confused please start your own thread -- you want a solid clear bright white basking bulb example are Flukers basking ---- Exo Terra Intense -- or a Arcadia Halogen ------ we need to get your tank set up correctly for lighting you have a very young dragon and this all needs to be on par or he / she will get sick ---- all this is crucial --- the dome can stay on top of the screen but the UVB must be unobstructed meaning NO screen or in the tankHow would you install this particular light on a mesh top 40 gallon tank. Ok so you have a solid clear bright white basking bulb? The che will be fine raising the temps to what they need to be- your uvb should go in the tank or unobstructed for good uvb- rays 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor - you want temps at night ambient 65-75I live in CT and it's getting cold. I bought a second CHE because I am not getting that 105-110 degrees needed now that temps have dropped in the house. I ordered the light fixture you recommended, including the bulb, which will be set up by Monday! I also ordered a digital probe thermometer. Thank you for being so helpful and I am thrilled to have found this forum.
