    What is normal behavior?

Is it possible he's getting ready for brumation? Does he seem different in any other ways like he doesn't want to be held, are there sores on his body, is he going to the bathroom?

I need some advice from some long term owners

Thanks Patsy for your advice. Sparky still doesn't want to eat but she's eliminating waste so I think she's okay for now. It's strange how you know when you get them that it's going to be a short time but it's still so shocking when they go.

I need some advice from some long term owners

Until the 30th of October 2014, I had 3 senior beardies. I adopted them from a no-kill shelter 3 years ago. On 10-30-14 I lost one of my females and 3-10-15 I lost my male. I now just have 1 female left. I know it's been just a day but my female won't eat. They have always lived together...

    Lost Beardie!

Great news! I once lost a 3 month old lizard, Sheila for 3 months! We found her cold and hungry under a bureau.

    Roaches

I had issues with having roaches in my house but my girl loves them so much I couldn't stop buying them now. Once I got over it being a "cockroach" they aren't any more disgusting than crickets. I would stick with smalls for a 3/4 mo old.

    Eye problem after shedding

Took Jesse to the vet again today. His eye infection has cleared up and the cornea is healed but he still doesn't want to open his eye. We're going to do an eye drop with steroidal anti-inflammatories for a week to see if that helps. I hope he will open his eye because he doesn't want to eat...

Am I feeding my Beardie enough?

I'm just probably reiterating what everyone one else has said. When they're young, feed them 2x a day (if they like) calcium covered crickets or other critters. I wouldn't worry how often they poop as long as they poop with enough frequency that you know there's no blockage. Young ones don't...

    oscar the grouch

My male, Jesse, turns black bearded anytime he hears a man's voice. He makes me laugh. I just pick him up and give him kisses and he usually settles down.

    help i need some names

I have a beardie named Sparky so I'm partial to that one. I've also had a Sheila which I thought was a perfect Aussie name. Match your name to your beardie. The name will come.

Read This: Beardie unexpectedly passed away

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost Danzi (she's the one in front) on 10-30-14. She was the sweetest girl ever. It still makes me sad and now Jesse (the one on the log) is loosing the pep in his step. They're all 13, nearly 14 but it hurts to lose them regardless of age. There is never...

    Is this shedding?

Not to worry. Shedding makes me nervous every time it happens. Baths are great if your Beardie likes them. I have a grumpy old curmudgeon guy who hates baths and only likes being under the hand held shower head. My other prefers to be in the bath. She even swims around in the sink. It's...

    Wont eat greens

My younger Beardies would never eat greens. It was crickets only for quite a while. Just keep offering them and eventually they'll want it.

Baby Beardie is Lethargic and Won't Eat

I think you need to take it back to the vet. Being held upside down and not moving is a really bad sign. Sleeping a lot can mean nothing as the sometimes go into brumation. (It's kind of like hibernation for lizards.) My beardie just had a troubled shed of his eye too. Patty recommended a...
