    My beardie is bleeding

It is quite upsetting that people don't take care of these sweet little souls. There is a wonderful Reptile store in my area where I get all of my bugs and she takes in every abandoned Reptile and snake if someone can't take care of them. The Reptile store has a new guy today who was very...

    My beardie is bleeding

Ok.... :) I'm quite familiar with beardies, Smalls is just exhibiting unusual behavior. Both of our dragons get out and are allowed to free roam within the house and when time permits I take each of my beardies outside individually so they have their own time. Smalls does have a log to rub on...

    My beardie is bleeding

So many trials and errors with rescue Smalls. Small update, Smalls now loves her veggies, she is a slightly vicious eater and not to crazy about bath time. Her lights are all new within the last couple months, temps are right, calcium intake regular she even laid her infertile eggs! I noticed...

    Help Smalls

I have a rescue dragon that has multiple disabilities. The vet told me a little over a month ago that even though she had never been around male that she was gravid, however the x-rays were inconclusive. She was on calcium liquids to help harden the "eggs". The last few days she goes nuts trying...

    Little smalls update

Hello everyone, Just an update on Smalls.. The handy dragon. While Smalls has improved leaps and bounds since her adoption, she has a new issue and I'm not sure what to think. Smalls is crippled do to a lack of care in her earlier years, her front right foot is kind of a club foot, all of her...

    smalls won't eat...

OK....... so..... Smalls is passing the white part of her poop, but nothing green. I just gave her some pure' prunes and she is in a warm bath. She still has an appetite, but I hesitate to let her eat anything in case she is impacted, I'm sure eating won't make it any better

    smalls won't eat...

She pooped a couple times yesterday and was hungry like usual. She does have a couple large lumps in her tummy :( when I had her in the bath she would take a couple deep breaths and then it looked like she would try to push. I don't know if she was trying to poo again or if she is trying to pass...

    smalls won't eat...

So we didn't make it outside today, but she had pooped by the time I made it home and she was ready to eat. I fed her a few cockroaches and one horned worm... I didn't want her to get stoved up again. After eating I gave her a warm bath and she pooed just a little with a belly rub...

    smalls won't eat...

I didn't even think of that! Im still getting used to reading her and I become more focused on what the vet says. I will definitely try some outside time today.

    smalls won't eat...

Smalls is a rescue, I didn't know she was female or anything about being gravid. Do to her previous ownership she was never properly cared for. To my understanding she was never supplemented with calcium, UV lights, insects or vet visits. And without definitive x-rays showing eggs I'm kind of...

    smalls won't eat...

Her vet said she THINKS she is gravid even though her xrays were inconclusive. Long story, they have her on calcium supplements in the hopes she would pass what they think are old eggs. They said if she doesn't pass them, she won't make it :(

    smalls won't eat...

Perhaps it is the crickets. I hate crickets, but my reptile store suggested them as a supplement to cockroaches and horn worms... To help keep cost of feeding down... I think my older beardie once had the same problem when I used to feed him crickets, but that was so long ago. Any insight or...

    smalls won't eat...

Smalls has come a long ways since her rescue a month ago. While never having insects prior to us, She started eating bugs after a couple days in her new tank, became less restless and more calm and just last week she started eating her veggies (curly endive, mustard greens, collard greens and...

    Smalls won't eat her veggies...

Our rescue beardie is doing well and adjusting to her new home... Smalls loves to eat her roaches and horn worms but will not eat veggies. Her vet thinks that it might be due to the fact that all she was ever fed was veggies. Does anyone have any ideas or tricks to get her to eat some greens

i need help building a laybox

I just found out that my little rescue dragon... along with all her other issues is apparently gravid according to her vet. However, the eggs in the xray don't look promising and we are trying everything to get her to expel those eggs if they aren't already bad. I want to make her a laybox just...
