I don't know how much a pinky would affect a dragon's digestion so it would be best to monitor it over the next few days to see if this continues. Personally, I wouldn't feed pinkies unless its a full grown dragon that is in need of putting on extra weight to be healthy, due to the high amount...
So I know that several of the questions you had were answered in one of my earlier threads but I just saw where you asked about the lamp itself. All the domes are going to be made of aluminum or some similar metal. The term ceramic dome refers to the base of the lamp itself (where the bulb...
Also, I should mention that I use a home made platform that raises the basking spot 3"-6" up from the base of the tank and my temperatures are taken near at about the 4" point.
I use the 160W ZooMed Powersun with great results. My dragon basks under it regularly and temperatures are kept in the proper range. The only time I have a problem is when the weather decides it wants to have a hot day and I don't have the AC on and my house temp is in the 80's which raises my...
Yes but I also have other recent reports from fellow Herpetologists who took measurements of the UVB produced and found that the CFL's were less efficient than the tube and MVB counterparts. In my opinion from my research, CFL's are just not the proper design
So does anyone have any advice on how to keep Dubia nymphs from climbing out? I just happened to look and see a nymph on the outside top of the sterilite container and was quite shocked. I chased him back into the box and then watched as he ran straight across the line of packing tape (which is...

Reptiles don't have the same type of genetic coding against sibling coupling as humans do. Though over multiple generations it would weaken their genetic code and possibly cause deformities, it really isn't that uncommon for a coupling of two related individuals to be completely healthy. The...
Several things. 1) Mine went through the same phase. He was raised on crickets but it took forever to get him to eat anything but worms when I first got him. It's best to just leave some in there throughout the day and try not to feed too many worms. 2) You don't need to spray unless he is...
Not necessarily. There can be plenty of things that cause smells including diet, low temps, and amount of water uptake. It's just that one of those possible things is a parasite infection and since I have not had him tested since I have had him, it would be a good idea.
He poops like it's his job lol. I always know when he does because it smells like horse poop. I'm probably going to get a fecal float done soon to make sure there aren't any parasite problems attached to that
So recently my beardie has seemed like he is constantly looking for more food. Normally I would dump about 20 or so crickets in his tank at a time and there would usually be one or two that he left. Well recently its been 20 crix... Gone!... 10 small supers.... Gone!.... 1 Large Dubia...
