Bearded dragon. He is scared of his own shadow...literally. Some days he is more chill and others he is like a wild squirrel who fears humans. It is frustrating.
Thanks for the warning. I cannot let mine off of me. Too young, too sneaky, and not enough open areas where he cannot hide as easily.

Spike scratching with his rear leg like a dog with fleas is the one that gets me. So distracting and you really feel for the babies when they are in shed and miserable.

Really cool, but are you using them inside or outside? I'm just wondering how much "free roam" your babies get.[emoji6]

My bearded gets scared outside and feels safer when he is on me and my hand is helping support him. Idk if that is the case here, but my beardie jumps at sights, sounds, etc. I just pet him and say shhhh...it's ok. He calms down. Hopefully someone with more experience gets back to you.

it's funny. My snake, which I got at the same time, is much tamer already than my BD. I have been taking him out of his viv much more the last few days and he isn't always happy about it. He seems to like it most when we are walking around and he gets to look at everything from the safety of...
Spike decided while we were fine today to tell us exactly what he thought about our salad choice for today! LOL However, Scaredy Spike did chill with me for 10 to 15 minutes.

I hope mine calms down one day. I got to hold him without him trying to run away for about 10 to 15 minutes today, so it is a start. I have had him for 3 months and we are still working on his skittishness. I have started calling him Scardy Spike.
