Excessive Hiding for my Bearded Dragon

No, she spends roughly one hour with me a day, and that is it. She also gets outside times as you talked about. As well as time to walk with a harness. I do not prioritize my wants over her needs or well being. I do appreciate you trying to help but please do not assume things. I prioritize my...

Excessive Hiding for my Bearded Dragon

I am not getting 'spicey' I am trying to tell you how you're coming off. You're telling me to get rid of my bearded dragon and that I am not being a good caretaker. I have a temperature probe, yes, and it is on the basking side, yes. I also have a humidity gauge. I AM using the clear basking...

Excessive Hiding for my Bearded Dragon

You need to read my first post again. You ate making absurd claims and have made this entire thread toxic not to mention have made me increasingly anxious and upset because you are ruining this positive forum. My tank IS set up properly. I told you 3 times now her heat is fine. The HOTEST part...

Excessive Hiding for my Bearded Dragon

Will do. So far she seems back to normal. Maybe she just had a few lazy days or she was cranky at me for something. But now she is running around, licking things, and climbing once more before snoozing on her hammock.

The temperature on the floor around the basking is not 107. The 107-109 is a direct reading from the very top of her basking closest to the light. Aka the hottest part of her tank. Taken with the infared heat gun.

T5 and I moved it to the underside of the mesh so that she gets full exposure. The mounting has it roughly 12-13inches up and covering about 70% of the tank in the back. The opposite side has the heat and the basking spot for her.

Excessive Hiding for my Bearded Dragon

Woah woah woah okay. Please don't make me close this thread due to all the back and forth here arguing about temperature and what not. 1. The temperature at its highest is 108 on the basking spot below the rock. It is taken with an infrared heat gun. The ambient heat with a probe is 98-100...

Thank you! I will mount her light inside the tank and see if it helps her. Her basking spot is stone and she also has some nice natural slate to sprawl on too. But she still seems to enjoy her natural fiber hammock the most.

Excessive Hiding for my Bearded Dragon

I already have some fixtures, actually, that I had got when I first purchased the light and thought about mounting it in the back. But then got nervous about it being too much/too bright and didn't. So I will use that when I change the bulb. Hopefully she continues to remain out and in better...

    Pumpkin Pie Anyone?

(Cont. From above!) I stream on Twitch and she often joins me. She has her own heating pad attached to my desk and it sits under her blanket. People on my stream get to see and realize how non-frightening reptiles are. Especially when they get to watch her snuggle into her blankie and watch the...
