    George poops every time he comes out

    It’s normal for bearded dragons to poop once a day or once a week. Bearded dragons really like soft things and often poop on them, so if you have carpet or a soft blanket that you put him on, that may be why.

    Hey I’m new here

    I don't know too much about juvenile beardies but please don't feed mealworms. They have a lot of fat and little protein and calcium. They can make your bearded dragon overweight and sometimes cause digestive problems. Super worms are a good alternative. Most bearded dragons don't drink right...

    How to get my girl to eat greens

    You can try using a topper on her salad. I use a flower topper (I crush them in my hands and sprinkle it on the salad), but you can also use bee pollen or salad dressing made specifically for reptiles. A slurry can help to get the taste in their mouth. Just put a couple foods safe for bearded...

    Bathing my beardie

    I recently went to an exotic vet for a checkup, and she recommended a bath 2-3 times per week for about 15 minutes. Baths give bearded dragons an opportunity to drink and get their skin hydrated, as well as clean off any poop or debris that may have stuck to them. Just make sure that the water...

    Hiding alot - suggestions / help needed

    This may be brumation. During colder months, bearded dragons basically go through hibernation but for reptiles. This happened with my beardie for about 2 months and I was sure he was dying. Once he came out more I took him to the vet and he was totally healthy. Brumation can last 2 weeks or 4...

    My beardies diet/feeding schedule

    Bearded dragons are usually considered adults at around a year. At this point the feeding schedule should be flipped, so 80% greens/vegetables/fruit and 20% insects. I feed my beardie a salad Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, with insects on Wednesday and Saturday.

    is it yellow fungus?

    This may just be their coloring. My bearded dragon has a dark tail and I thought it was tail rot, so I took him to the vet and he was perfectly healthy. If you start seeing yellow spots on the stomach that may be cause for more concern. Either way, if you have a concern, take them to an EXOTIC...

    Diet = good?

    This is not great for a juvenile or an adult. Juveniles should get 80% insects and 20% greens/vegetables/fruit, and close to a year transitioning to 50-50, and then 80% greens/vegetables/fruit and 20% insects. Kale provides little nutritional value but is very good for water intake. Beardies...

    Water intake

    It’s totally normal for a bearded dragon not to drink from a bowl, but it’s always a good idea to give them fresh water daily. Spraying water on their daily salads is a great way to increase water intake. A bath 2-3 times a week helps them poop and also gives them a chance to drink water. There...

    Beardy wont eat greens

    I have had the same problem with my beardie. There are many salad toppers to use that can entice your beardie to eat it. I use a flower topper (I crush them in my hand and sprinkle it on his salad), but there are also salad dressings and bee pollen is great. You can also offer a pea, and right...
