Ive tried superworms and phoenix worms (pw got expensive really fast so i had to stop that).
i dont give him bugs with every meal. 1-2x a week depending on the supply and what i have.
i got him 4? years ago so he should be 6 or 7 now. occasionally i can trick him into eating salads (again...
He was taking medication prescribed by his vet for 1-2 months so i guess thats where it started? i probably kept up the bad habit by continuing to feed him this way once i noticed he had stopped eating. (decreased hunger was a side effect of the medication so i just got desperate and did...
i wish this was a joke, but i think i have the pickiest beardie officially.
my male adult beardie will only eat purees, specifically if its hand fed to him. is this even a sustainable diet???
he’ll still eat his bugs with no complaints. but i have to blend his salads into a puree for him to...
I got him as an adult. He was neglected in his past home so I’ve been trying to right their wrongs. Ill try the silk worm trick though, thanks! He’s pretty smart and will spit out any greens but hopefully that’ll keep them in his mouth
No idea of his exact age but he was an adult when i got him 4 years ago. ive tried all uve listed. he’ll eat around the salad to get them but thats it. he wont ever go for his salad
Any advice on how to get my beardie to start eating veggies on his own?
I’ve tried bee pollen, insects in his salad, flower toppings, etc. Every now and then he’ll grab a green by accident but will refuse to eat after that like I offended him. I just want him to eat his veggies ;-;
Nothing has changed. His basking bulb hasnt blown out at all. I dont mist his tank so it cant be water damage. I have also tried running an extension cord from a different outlet to see if that would work but nope, same outcome
Yea I did from a different Petsmart. I tried to order from Pangea reptile but the cost was a little high for me and it would take too long to arrive. he would be without uvb for 3-5 days :/. i dont know what else to do.
Update: I bought ANOTHER fixture and lamp and what do you know… burnt out again within days. I’m close to crying out of frustration. I emailed Zoomed and hope to get a reply soon.
I have an older fixture and i also bought an aqueon deluxe one and its the same issue. they both only take up to 17watts and the bulbs are 24 watts so ill see if this is the issue (but it never was in the past.)
