Where to get shelves/elevation for terrarium

Yes, but that didn't last long. He's pretty attached to his tree and doesn't care for the mesh stuff, so it wasn't worth the energy to use 2.

    Bugs in cricket cage

You should consider switching to Dubias.. crickets have been a nightmare for me and my beardy. We both got sick of chasing them all over the place pretty quickly. I just ordered a thousand small dubia's off of amazon for 46 dollars. My beardy can't get enough of them, whereas he'll give up on...

    Juvenile Beardy won't eat veggies/fruits

These are great tips, I'll pick up some of these greens I haven't tried before, and some watermelon, and I'll try the dusting trick. I have already put phoenix worms in his salad, and it seems like it should work as it moves around a lot, but he just waits for them to free themselves and then...

    Juvenile Beardy won't eat veggies/fruits

My 2 1/2 month old beardy refuses to eat anything but insects and carrots. He seems very healthy, constantly growing and shedding, but he's really picky about non-live food and I'm starting to get concerned. Can he thrive off of only Dubias, Phoenix Worms, and Carrots? I use vitamin and calcium...

    Vegetables and Greens

Why do you ask? Everything I have read/watched has stated that Adults should get 20% of their diet from live insects/ small animals, and even more the younger they are, so you're basically asking if anyone provides insufficient care for their pet. A fully vegetarian diet might be possible, but...

Where to get shelves/elevation for terrarium

The background finally came in. His habitat is good to go for now, but as Patsy pointed out it is a bit narrow, so I expect we'll have to upgrade eventually. I figure he should be fine for the next 6-9 months though. We are pretty happy with how it turned out. I was able to keep the desert theme...

Where to get shelves/elevation for terrarium

I know the dragon doesn't care what it looks like, but for me it seems weird to put a Australian desert lizard in a tropical rain forest themed enclosure. Luckily I found this on Amazon, 60" x 24", double sided. One of the sides is a desert background but also has a lot of green, so it will go...

Where to get shelves/elevation for terrarium

I'm going to be moving my dragon Dexter into a 55 gallon soon. It's 18" tall, 48" wide, 13" deep, it's shown in the first picture. I'm having a hard time finding shelving or other types of elevated platforms. I'm looking for things like in the next 3 pictures. Are these mostly DIY jobs, or can...

    Skeptical of breeder listing

I left him home alone from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon and when I got home he was way more red. Then later he turned back to being more brown.. so maybe he gets red when he's hungry. The ambient temperature was also a bit higher since we turned down the AC before leaving, so it could be...

    Skeptical of breeder listing

It's the number 3. It's how the breeder sorts and labels them. Mine was "3-B". I assume it will come off with shedding.

    Skeptical of breeder listing

You are right, even in my own set of pics that I posted, he looks much more brown in my hand and much more red under his lamps. He may also have dulled due to an upcoming shed, as his tail has become completely gray since he arrived. He does appear to be healthy at least. And I want to stress...

    Skeptical of breeder listing

I just realized the text is really small in that image. It says "Hypo-Leather Translucent Dunner" 6.5" Male $250. (+50 shipping)

    Skeptical of breeder listing

Thanks. Here's the listing, price, breeder pic, and comparison pic. The dragon was $250, total was $300 shipped. After some research into morph identification, I am able to confirm most of the traits, although there are a few things that are hard to tell this early. He does have clear nails...

how to get beardies to eat vegetables?

Forgot to mention, instead of worms you can also use a chopstick or something to stir the veggies around to attract their attention. I have seen that strategy work on youtube. Again, probably better to dice the veggies to bit size pieces.

how to get beardies to eat vegetables?

Hi Lukas. I read your other thread yesterday, I'm sorry things went the way they did with your first one. I actually just went through the same thing with my first dragon, Carlitos. I got him from a petsmart too. I was able to keep him alive for a month by force feeding insects and dripping baby...
