I understand what you're saying, and I suppose I should have clarified that I meant "without a heat source" when the weather doesn't provide the necessary conditions. That's what 'outside' means to me.
I do hope that your friend is willing to share his experience - I would be interested to...
Thanks for that - but why even bring it up if you won't/don't feel comfortable discussing it? ???
I'm not sure why you're taking such offense to my curiosity... I posted that Dubias could not be raised outside (meaning, without any supplemental heat source) and you suggested otherwise, so I am...
Posts removed. ;D I would still like to know the specifics of raising Dubia roaches outdoors. I would imagine some supplemental heat source would be required during the colder times of the year?
Hi, Stacy and welcome! Beardies are awesome ;D
Don't take offense (it's nothing personal) but there is a lot wrong with that set up :-\

How old is your beardie? Babies and juveniles, while they should be provided a daily salad, are likely not going to suffer if it is not provided for a week. I wouldn't feed him the salad mix, since you don't want him getting diarrhea.
I think one of the main things to consider is the time and money. As Candice already pointed out, it is quite expensive for the supplies, food and electric bills. Then there's the question of who will feed all of the babies 2 or 3 times a day, as well as bathing them twice a day. It adds up, and...
