    Bathtime

Be patient your new baby will get used to it. We've had our baby for about 4 weeks now I think. And he belongs to my daughter so she's responsible for the bathtime. The first one he had he just sat there, like what the heck is this. Now he spends his entire time trying to get out. And it is...

    Night light

Thanks so much Sandy, I appreciate it. I'll take a picture later this afternoon when my daughter gives him his bath. I think I'll measure him too I'm curious to see how long he is now. As I think he should be about 9 inches. I need to look for my previous post where I asked you guys to...

Help! I have a biting beardie baby!

Hi ragamama, we are new to beardies too and purchased ours from petsmart as well. I wish they would educate their staff more. I was told about the worms and that too and come to find out they are not good at all. Fred looks like our baby spike. Good luck and nice to meet another newbie.

    Night light

Thanks so much Janie. So what brand and wattage would I get? And is there any particular brand type of basking lamp? Or is this one and the same. Currently we have a single basking lamp 150watts. Now that the red one is broken. Should I have another lamp on the cool side of the viv? That temp is...

    Night light

Hi, I know I haven't posted in a week or two I was trying to be patient and let spike settle in. He's doing great by the way. Still not eating the amount I think he should but it's definitely better. As a matter of fact this morning he was running back and forth in his Viv as I was running...

    Mouth open Ok?

Hi, Ok little spike is sitting on his log under his basking light with his mouth open. Is this normal? I've not noticed him do this before. He ate 5 crickets about 45 minutes ago and he sat in his water dish for about a minute then went to his log where he is now.

    Spike the baby beardie

Since this is the most he's eaten at one time do you think he's almost done with his relocation stress? I thought I read that appetite was a good sign of that. Would the roach thing be a money thing?

    Spike the baby beardie

Thanks Renee for answering my questions. The worms he likes are mealworms. And I'm using the pie plate because it's a good depth for him and I wanted to do the baths in a confined space since my daughter is adamant about doing it herself (with me hanging over her shoulder :)) He's not as long as...

    Spike the baby beardie

Hi again, I probably should have started another post. But I just wanted to update on our little "guy" Is it to early to tell boy from girl? This is why I ask yesterday after noon after he had his bath, and ate some kale in the bath. It was funny he had it stuck to his nose I have a picture...
