I recently ordered 1000 small dubias to add to my colony that’s still getting started. I’m now finding centipedes in the cage. They range from tiny up to about an inch long. I’ll try to get a pic, but there’s probably a dozen or so that I’ve seen. I’m assuming they came in with the new dubias...
I contacted Zen, turns out they have a video that shows how to fix loose corners like I had. Enclosure is now much sturdier.
I plan on making substrate out of sand, organic soil, and some excavator clay. How much of each would I need to make the substrate about 4” deep?
Now that I have it assembled, I can tell it won’t work without the plastic liner - the PVC flexes too much to seal well against the frame.
I’m not crazy about the enclosure. It feels super flimsy for $400. If I push the door too hard, the side pushes open. Might end up returning it
