How far away do they roam?

Do my best. I suppose he could be in my neighbors back yard which is a jungle. I'd probably never find him if he's back there. Also have a palm tree in the back but he's never climbed it in the two years that he's been in the backyard.

Thanks Sadie, I'm surprised I haven't found him basking in the mornings close by yet.

How far away do they roam?

Well Rebel got out of the back yard again, but not sure how. All access points were baracaded. Last time this happened was a year ago and he was gone for 8 days then suddenly appeared about 20 feet from the front door. I'm hoping this will happen again...assuming a hawk didn't grab him. He was...

+1 here. Reptile carpet is one of the best for bearded dragons. Fairly easy to clean, doesn't need to be replaced for a couple years as long as you keep up with maintenance.

He's looking good. As far as hand feeding...try to limit it. Even if you have to take him out of his cage to feed him. That's what I did with mine. Tank looks good. If it doesn't get any colder than 65 degrees at night I wouldn't bother with the ceramic heater though. Keep trying to handle him...

Is He ok? Abandoned Bearded Dragon

Where are you located? Reason I'm asking is because if you're in a warm climate and can't get new lighting...taking him out into the sunlight will do wonders. I have mine out in the backyard right now as I'm writing this. But I'm in Las Vegas lol

Is He ok? Abandoned Bearded Dragon

Seems like you know more about bearded dragons than the owner does lol. That is not a healthy bearded dragon. But awesome job on your selection with what you got from the store! Do you know how old he is? Might need some protein from crickets or Dubias too.

    Bearded dragon likes chicken...

I believe it was from the thigh. We did the scrambled eggs thing this morning (small amount), he seemed to really like them. I'll give him a little more just for breakfast on Sunday and then Dubias should arrive on Monday.

*We'll try eggs for the weekend, the chicken was a one time thing* (before anyone yells at me lol)

    Bearded dragon likes chicken...

Well it happened, cricket shortage here in Vegas. No mediums or large and my dragon won't eat small crickets. Dubias are on order but won't get here for another 3 days. So small pieces of boiled chicken are now his favorite none moving protein. Very rare occurrence for sure though. Has that...

    Crickets everywhere

Good sign that it's passing through and not staying undigested in her stomach.

    Crickets everywhere

Now that my dragon is bigger and a little older he doesn't run after his crickets in his cage as much. I have to take him out, put him on the kitchen floor with the crickets. The challenge with Dubias is that they don't hop around in the cage...they will find a place to hide making it difficult...

    Concerned about diet

A T5 is ok on top of screen. That's how mine is. Need it to be at least a 18 inch bulb for the young ones though.

    General food/inventory question

Mine is the opposite...he likes broccoli but won't ever touch collard greens. He'll eat cut up green beans though lol.
