Hey welcome to the world of roach breeding and cost saving is unbelievable. How big a colony are you needing ? as in how many creatures are to be fed from your colony? I don't use a permanent heat pad as they will live fine with out the extra heat at room temps. I put the heat on when i want...
I also stick the old jack flap stuff out of my waxworm breeders (honey and cheerios). I always seem to have a better production a couple of months later. Never really monitored it though. Just easier when cleaning waxworks to dump it in and whoomph it's gone lol
I only feed my feeders the food I feed my lizard. However my breeder get what ever is going they will devour whatever you put in there there. Oranges and strawberries all ways do good for the breeding with some carrot and iceberg lettuce as a source of hydration.
Hi Steve, I personally wouldn't worry just yet at that age..offer the crickets on top of small amount of veg each day. he will eat it when he's ready. As long as he has a steady appetite then all should be fine. Keep up the supplements and monitor your Temps and you will have a long lived...

Sorry if im repeating anybody Forget about crickets I tried and they stink and like to be cannibals, climb and are very noisy when you hit around the 1 cricket mark let alone a 1000 of them. only reason I tried crickets was petshop asked if I could supply them so I saw pound signs. I soon...
Ebay...and start a colony of your own it is by far the cheapest and easiest option. I have an assortment of different critters and not fed a shop bought feeder in over a decade. I breed locusts, blaptica dubai roaches, waxworms and fruit fly. I know they are quality feeders as I am the one to...
I don't think it's the fact that people are rude rather it's just frustration on people getting an animal then asking advice when it is clear they collected the animal before they have googled care needs and put a care plan in place before hand..not directly aimed at this op by the way..just in...
Been taking my beardie outside for 12 years now and the old boy has never been aggressive...sunlight-good diet-good temps and regular baths = happy happy boy
