I will add that I am extremely paranoid about Atadenovirus and Crypto getting into my own pets, so strict quarantine measures are in place. The dragon has its own trash can, insects, supplies, etc. I change clothes and wash my arms in chlorhexidine then Dawn before leaving the quarantine area.
Hi all, I have an unusual situation and would like some advice. I have come into possession of a very small beardie that had been anorexic for a week prior to being taken to the vet I work at. It is from a chain store that pulled it out of the "sale" case for its "lack of energy". As of right...
Also, just a thought...Are superworms and hornworms more of a treat than a staple? I know I can raise roaches and supers, but if supers are only for treats I'd quickly get too many to maintain a colony. I don't have chickens anymore to eat the overflow lol. Hornworms I can get every few months...

Thanks, I can't wait either - but I'm gonna do things right and get all the stuff over the next few months so I can spread out the cost and get the highest quality supplies. I want to make sure everything is set and right before getting the beastie.
I have been an avid reptile lover since I caught my first fence lizard when I was 7. I've had tons of snakes, anoles, iguanas, and the occasional turtle in my care. I have done wildlife and reptile rehab since 2005 (only on wild species) and have been a veterinary technician since 2011.

Hey all, this is my first post - been doing a ton of research, and hoping to get a beardy in the next 6-12 months. I have kept reptiles for years, so I'm not a complete novice but I do have a few questions. First of all, I have several tanks, a 10 gal, a 20 long, and a 40 gal that I can use for...
