That's correct I have a CHE for night time temperatures and a heat lamp for the daytime. I removed the decor rock in the back to give him more space to move around . If he gets any bigger he's definitely going to need more space. I'm working on plans for a new enclosure now
I'm starting to think Rosco might out grow his 2x2x4 enclosure I built. It seems like he's sprouted right up since I've moved him in. He's almost a year old now and he's already 20" head to tail!
I mounted a computer fan to the side of my cage to help with humidity levels. Living in Florida makes it tough to keep them down. Works great, it's pretty quiet for the most part, it doesn't seem to bother my beardie
That's awesome! I originally wanted to make my enclosure like that so I could put it in the corner and save space. Looks great, the enclosure tile almost matches up with the floor tile
I wish I had the time to make these on the side, it was a lot of fun and I learned a lot of what to and what not to do. Cost is quite a bit though. All said and done I think I spent almost 400 dollars. I think I could cut that in half now that I know all the material needed
Cleaning is easy, takes a bit of elbow grease to get up the special presents that I can't get to right away but I just use a paper towel and scrub the rest up with a sponge, vinegar water mix and dry with a paper towel.
I think bleach and water may be a bit too harsh, I use a cleaner from petsmart by national geographic. Works great and smells good too, helps deodorize beardie poo smells!
Good luck on your new enclosure build and feel free to reach out with any questions
Thanks dude! Cleaning was my biggest fear as well when it came to the grout. I have yet to have any problems with cleaning I will say it's not as easy as just picking up a paper towel and throwing it away. It does take a bit of effort on the more runnier ones but it does clean up with a damp...
we think Roscos about 9 months old now.
Here is the first day we brought him home, they said he was 4 months when we got him but he seemed much younger.
