    Rock and dried branches

As a geologist, looks like the rock is a very fine sedimentary siltstone or limestone. So that should be fine for your beardie.

Possible to stop beardie from going into burmation?

It's a fine mesh so, I see, it's blocking a large percentage of UVB. Can they be installed under the screen? How? Where?

Possible to stop beardie from going into burmation?

I have the standard 22-in long UVB bulb specifically for bearded dragons. I have checked the bulb with a UVB indicator and that is still good. What should the surface basking temperature be? Right now I have three basking bulbs, 100, 100, 75 watt, a ceramic heat emitter100 watt, and an LED...

Possible to stop beardie from going into burmation?

Hey beardie folks, My bearded dragon will be 8 months old in a week or so and he has all the signs of wanting to go into burmation. From the information I researched online, most say that beardies less than a year old should not go into burmation. He's pretty much the size of a full grown...

    Strange behavior?

I agree with you Shane, something looks just not quite right about his behavior. Maybe give him another day or two and see how he looks then maybe a trip to the vet if you don't see any Improvement. Or is that his normal walk? He looks lame on one of his legs.

    Fierce Dragon in Australia....

What Luna is thinking..."I'm in the wilds of the Australian desert foraging for food and looking impressive for the females." What I'm thinking...awww Luna loves the dig box I made for him.

Do you keep misting the dig box in order to keep the humidity up?

    Growing too fast?

I teach High School so during the summer when I'm off, I was feeding black soldier fly larvae, small crickets, or small dubia roaches about four times a day, and I always had greens available. I dust with vitamin powder about twice a week and calcium supplements about once a day. I occasionally...

    Growing too fast?

Hello fellow bearded dragon lovers. My dragon just turned 6 months old and I've had him since he's 2 months. He's been to the vet for a health checkup and to check for internal parasites. He's very healthy dragon but at 6 months old he's 18 in long, nose to tip of the tail, and weighs 331 grams...

Luna is my first bearded dragon and I am totally in love! This is an actual unretouched photo of Luna and to me he definitely looks orange and purple...is this a common coloring?

    First Baby Beardie

Great website I wasn't aware you could buy insects by mail I'll definitely use that. What size of the bsfl larva should I get small medium or large?

    First Baby Beardie

Yes Luna is definitely at home and I do have the items that you recommended. As a science teacher I did a lot of research before getting a dragon and I think I'm on track. One thing though, Luna loves crickets but I cannot get her/he to eat much in the way of vegetables I've tried a lot of...

    First Baby Beardie

Hi all I just found your site when I was browsing the internet looking for bearded dragon tips. I had a Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula named Fluffy who recently passed away after 18 years. You'd be surprised how attached you can get to an insect after 18 years. After about a month I felt the need...
