So yesterday I removed the Red Lamp, Removed Sand and replaced with paper towel, and i was able to get ahold and talk to an exotic animal vet. Unfortunately they are booked solid for the next 3 months and are short staffed due to the Rona virus but he was able to give me advice on how...
I believe he is 2 or 3 months? i purchased him from petco ( i know i know) but he sits on the side of his basking rock facing up, or if he is flat he straightens his front (arm/legs?) so he is pushing himself up and looks up. He doesn't really arch his back or neck up. If that makes sense?

Temps are taken with a digital thermometer and the round analog one, UVB is a large bulb it isnt the coil type, but I will be changing to a T5 H0 10.0 hood and bulb when it gets here Wednesday. Do you have a recomendation on how to open his mouth without harming him?
basking Temp is 103*F ambient is 80*F humidity averages around 20% (Naturally). The UVB bulb isn't the coil type (I'm waiting on a 36 inch T5 HO 10.0 bulb and hood should be here wednesday)
