That's great he has been healthy his whole life, especially as old as he is. Shows you have been caring for him correctly. It's amazing how quickly you get attached to the little guys.
I did a quick google search on brumation, and found this really good article. I recommend anyone that has a...
First, your beardie needs a vet. Now! It sounds to me like she could be dying. Second, you need to do some reading on how to care for a bearded dragon.
Back in June, you started a thread asking for help, and you were told that you need UVB then, and you STILL don't have any????? Proper...
Yeah, that obviously means the order was processed, packed, and shipping label was processed and printed... just waiting for the carrier (USPS/UPS/FedEx/etc) to pick up the shipment, probably this evening or Monday.
(Also, on their website, it mentions that due to hurricane hermine, there may...
I agree, they are pretty good, and excellent with order accuracy and customer service. Like you, we get most of our supplements and some other stuff there. But, we get the majority of our supplies from Drs. Foster and Smith (www.drsfostersmith.com). They have some prices that are unbelievably low!
Ok, first- technically, there is NO such site named "bearded dragon.com". It is actually "bearded dragon.co"...
As for your emails, check your bulk/junk folder, as they sometimes end up there. Also, the email will come from Reptile Central or something like that, and NOT beardeddragon.co...
I'd recommend no more than one meal per day. However, if I'm not mistaken, I believe that you're only supposed to dust with calcium once or twice per week.
As far as "reversing" or reducing MBD damage, BSFL are your best friend! They are basically living calcium... Let's say dubias, crickets, and other feeders have an average of 140ppm of calcium. BSFL have approx 8400ppm calcium!!! 8400 vs 140... that's a major difference.
Yes, that IS normal. If you read their shipping/order policy, they state to allow 3 business days for the order to process before shipping. If you ordered on Thursday the 8th, then Friday is business day #1, Monday is #2, yesterday is #3. You should get an email from them this afternoon...
Nice guitar collection! I don't have anywhere near that many. Other than the Les Paul I pictured above, I also have a beautiful red Strat:
And 2 project guitars that I stripped down, sanded, modified, and refinished- one is a vintage 80's Les Paul copy, and the other a "Frankenstrat" with a...
A lot of bulbs need replacing every SIX months. You said he was about 7 months old when this started, so old bulbs could fit into that timeframe as a culprit.
What are his temps in his enclosure??? And how do you measure them? Either too cool or even too warm WILL impact their eating, appetite and health. Also, make sure the UVB bulb is still radiating UVB rays. There are little "credit card" meters you can get to test. Just because the bulb is...
It's really looking and sounding like he may be getting MBD. So I'd say yes- get a second opinion. Preferably by a specialized or herp vet. From my research, the jerky motions, mouth open etc is a sign of MBD. I'd also recommend more calcium in his diet, maybe even feed him BSFL's as they are...
