    Talk to me about MBD

Ha, yes, I posted this on Facebook, but it got buried there very quickly with no responses. Sorry! The Panacur was one big double-sized dose at the vet, then smaller normal-sized doses daily for the next four days. I saw the post about Chance and the leg exercises. I'll try that. He gets...

    Talk to me about MBD

I think Critter has it, and it doesn't seem to be improving much. We got him from Petco three weeks ago, where he had entirely inadequate UVB lights. After he came home, he was under the also entirely inadequate 18" T8 5.0 UVB light (that they told us to buy) for one week, then I wised up and...

    Diet or health???

Critter gets sleepy at around 6:30-7:00 too. We just don't feed him after 5, or as soon as we get home. I think with as early as it's getting light now, he just wakes up early and goes to bed early.

    Nice!

OMG they really do explode, don't they?!

It was definitely a mess- there was skin everywhere! I especially liked the little nose plugs...

Critter had his first shed with us today. It was hilarious. I have never seen anything like this! Critter's first shed with us. by Sue, on Flickr Critter's first shed with us. by Sue, on Flickr

    Critter's first outing

Thanks for the concern, but we were hovering pretty close around him. The grass was pretty tall, too, and he couldn't really figure out how to move through it fast. We'll definitely make a harness or enclosure for when he's more comfortable outside.

    Probiotic?

    Great, thanks!

    Probiotic?

Since Critter is being treated for pinworms and coccidia, I should probably get a probiotic to give him while he's on the meds? Can someone please suggest a brand and place to buy a good one? I came across mention of Acidophiliz+, but don't know where to get it. Ordering online is OK.

    Critter's first outing

We took Critter out to the back yard for the first time this week! He seemed to like it, but certainly kept a close eye on all the birds flying overhead.

    Pinworms and coccidia

Since we've had Critter for almost two weeks now and his relocation stress has subsided, I wanted to get a fecal done and see what sorts of nasties he came with from the pet store. I'm glad I did because even though there wasn't anything visibly wrong with his behavior or poops, he had very...

    A Few Questions

I got repticarpet for our tank, which I know is a 40 breeder, and it was the right width but I had to cut an inch or so off the length. A standard 40 tank is 48 x 13 x 17, while a 40 breeder is 36 x 18 x 17. Can't help you with the poop, I'm just a newbie. Bayne is beautiful!

    Another "Is this tail rot?"

OK thanks! We'll keep an eye on it.

    Another "Is this tail rot?"

I know this has been asked several times recently, but I didn't want to confuse the other people's threads. Critter has a couple weird spots on the tip of his tail, and I wanted an opinion. The first picture is when his tail was underwater in the bath, and the second it's in the air but wet...
