    i just used a standard emulsion waterbased paint in a 'sandstone' colour for the basecoat....then i had some small brown, black and white acrylic tubes that i mixed various shades of brown , watered it down 50/50 with water and used a spray bottle to add thin layers of 'washes' and just built up...

    Quick question for anyone with stacked vivariums....ive got 2 48x24x24 vivariums on order that will be stacked but ideally i dont want them on the floor but im struggling to find something to stack them on, ie a tv stand or similar (something about 25 inches off the floor)...i google the weights...

    Thoughts on window sitting

    mine are the same....i work from home and the viv is in my studio, about 10am once they've had a good warm up Anna starts going a bit nuts, glass surfing and generally causing havoc....i put her on the window ledge (which is quite big) and she'd happily sit there all day

    It was actually alot easier than i thought, i watched quite a few vids of lizard landscapes on youtube which are really helpful, the hardest thing is having patients in between grout layers drying, paint drying and the sealer haha

    Hi all, thought id share my attempt at a custom 'rock' build ...went down the polystyrene and grout route, painted with acrylic paint, sealed with modpodge and made it all separate so it can all be easily removed and cleaned.
