first time owner of beaded dragon

I'm still new to having bearded dragons, but I can offer some insight. Lettuce is generally a poor choice for their veggies, use a dark leafy green, such as Collard or Mustard greens, occasionally some kale or bok choy (leaves only). They also like squash (yellow, spaghetti, acorn). The fruits...

    Shedding

Looks so pitiful when she sheds... Keeps looking at, almost seems to be asking for help the way she rolls her eyes up at me. Anything I can do to help her besides warm baths? "This is very annoying!"

    best substrate?

I spot clean mine with Wipe Out 1. Disinfects and deodorizes. Tile generally doesn't hold any smell. I used a tile glue mat to hold mine down and in place, and once a week, I move the whole viv outside, spray it down with WP1, rinse, repeat and let air dry. I did a 40 gal tank for $25.00. I got...

    best substrate?

I use a mix of slate and granite tile, Like mentioned above, keeps the nails dulled down and holds heat well. If you wanted to let them dig, you could always put a small "dig box" in his/her tank. Washed play sand I've been told works well for this, but I imagine millet seed would work find also.

    Trade

http://www.georgiacrickets.com/ Awesome place to buy feeders from if you're looking for a place. I know the manager personally as his store is only 2 minutes from my house. I've seen his set-ups for raising feeders, and wouldn't trust anyone else anymore.

    Worms!

Careful with the wax worms. They are super high in fat, so only offer them as a treat. Beardies don't digest fat well, so maybe a couple (2) a week max imo. I'm still kinda new to beardies, but this came straight from the lady I know at the reptile pet store, and my overpriced, but worth it...

    Dietary Assisstance

You could always feed your beardie some nice crunchy dubias. They are packed with protein. I usually give Gojira phoenix worms for his first meal, give him that nice jolt of calcium to start off his day. He usually finishes his first salad of collards and cactus before I come home from work...

    Superworms

My first beardie won't touch supers at all. He eats mostly dubias and phoenix worms, along with a butt load of salad. But his all time favorite? Yeah, those nice juicy blue hornworms.

    Phoenix Reptile Expo!

I went to the Atlanta Repticon last weekend, and lots of people brought their pets. Saw a lot of people carrying snakes, and even more BD's. Even saw a couple on a leash!
