    Avoiding heat lamp

My bearded dragon is about a year old and he has been avoiding his heat lamp. Lately he's been seeming like he's brumating, but I didn't intend to give him a brumation period. My apartment is cold, however I give him a stronger heat bulb, a night heat bulb, and UVB lighting as well as his...

    Night Light

Last year I used a space heater for my room and a blue/black night time bulb to warm up my boy's enclosure, as the current positioning of his tank wouldn't allow for a CHE with thermostat (besides it doesn't get THAT cold). I accidentally got him a red light instead of a black and kept him up...

    Food association

We have construction going on but no feral rats! Any way to break the food-hand association you know of?

    Food association

Bed is safely on floor until the new one arrives. Rats get in sooo much trouble if the room isn't rat proof, including hiding spaces. but the living room is another story

Any ideas how to break the food association?

Maybe some fresh air would make him happy. We have the bedroom which is rat proofed so I think he could run off some steam

    Food association

Good to know both heat and hormones could be at play here. Lately when he's out he puffs and tries to make a break for it. I'm thinking of getting a lizard leash to prevent his little dashes. Any advice on calming him?

    Food association

He has an aquarium back drop but might get some reflection of the front. The more I read it seems like he's transitioning to adult. He head bobs at my gf LOL will he calm down again? Could the summer heat be making him this way

Could it also be puberty or breeding behavior? He's 8 months

    Food association

My beardie lately associates my hand with food. He'll dramatically lick me and puff up when he tries to be held. He is/was going through a grump stage and I'm not sure why. He used to enjoy coming out now he's only interested in food!

    Diet Analysis

Should I cut back on the diet or is it good? He is looking a little plump, but again, I don't have his weight.

    Diet Analysis

My beardie is eight months old and about a foot long. I don't have his weight at the moment. I feed him about 10 crickets twice a day with a salad and offer on occasion two superworms. The salad is collard greens, butternut squash, and green peppers.

    Puberty?

Yeah, he has been going through this phase for a few days now. I really don't know what is up. I was in the hospital for a bit, but my girlfriend fed and handled him while I was gone. Right now he's sitting on my shoulder, more relaxed, but earlier he greeted me with a large gape and hiss!

    Puberty?

Is it possible that bearded dragons go through a puberty phase? I've read some things as my sweet Marat has turned into a BRAT since reaching over 1ft. He gapes, hisses, but doesn't bite. Should I just take him out more often? His husbandry is fine (double checked the caresheet on here as...
