Im using a 70w in our 40 gal breeder, but have to get pretty close. I suggest using a 100w. Look on amazon.com. The pictures show the back of the box which has some good info.
I think there is a 6 month warranty on the bulbs. Im a bit past that now. I've read that these produce acceptable uvb levels for 18+ months. I noticed an immediate and rather dramatic effect on my bearded dragon upon switching to this bulb, from the standard basking lamp and fluorescent uvb...
My colony is growing but not fast. I unplugged the heaters to slow them down. I will probably be ready to sell some after a couple months. But I will wait till spring as I cannot guarantee live arrival during the winter. I bet there will be a bunch to sell by that time.
Trim the silicone in the corners so that the small dubia cannot climb it. I used a razor. I poof canned the outside. Then glued paper for insulation. I dont know that the insulation helped or not. No difference in temps that I saw.
The last two orders brought my colony down considerably. I simply couldn't ship an order anywhere near the size Ive been. I could do a small order of 100 or so, but you won't get feeders steadily for a while from that. I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I would like to hold off till after current customers receive theirs. I dont wanna get too low myself and then have to re-ship due to dead loss.
Ok. Sounds good. If I ship later than Wednesday we risk the shipment waiting over the weekend before delivery. They probably won't survive that long in a box.
