    Wounded Hatchling

I've had beardies nip hands, arms, and tails off before. It's extremely sad but most of them do ok. One beardie I found with another one biting his hand and wouldn't let go, it took a minute of me gently pulling him away but he finally let go. What was left of the victims leg was swollen for a...

Juvenile bearded dragon stopped eating. Please help!

Feed crickets in the evening rather than morning. This will encourage him to eat greens veggies and pellets and when he sees those crickets he will still gladly gorge himself. I would advise to not feed kale, carrots, and apple on a daily basis. Carrots can be fed a few times a week but I would...

Am I feeding my Beardie enough?

I once had a beardie that sometimes went as much as 2 weeks without pooping! But normally it was between 5 and 7 days between a good poop. And she always ate a ton so... Yeah I don't think you need to worry as long as it's pretty regular.

    Super worms as staple?

Super worms can be a good staple but they are like beardie candy. Be careful how much you give because they are high in fat and can be make a beardie turn his nose up to other insects if not given a variety right off the bat.

First time owner...my bearded dragon isn't pooping!!!

For now I would feed him a few drops of olive oil and gently massage his tummy every day until he passes what is in his gut. Usually if they are constipated you can feel their intestines and they are pretty hard. My female used to only poop every week or 2 and that was normal for her. It does...

    Veggies for 2 month old

Veggies should be hydration enough but you can also use water crystals or water pillows if you want.

    Veggies for 2 month old

Also don't give the crickets lots of citrus, it doesn't agree with the beardies at all. Fish food is ok but what you really want to gut load with is high calcium veggies and throw in some greens if the beardie is picky about those. I like to give the crickets carrots, squash, green beans, and...

    Veggies for 2 month old

I used to breed beardies. I fed mustard greens and collard greens as staples. Romaine is a nice treat but has about zero nutritional values. Kale is good but, correct me if I'm wrong, not suitable as a staple either. Isn't it too high in the calcium binding mineral... What are they called...
