The post mortem results came back today. My poor Panda had cancer :'( it started in his stomach and metastasised to his liver. The vet said he wouldn't be surprised if he was poorly when he got him. He said it's very unusual and uncommon in such a young beardie and that we did everything right...
Thank you. He really was a cheeky little scamp! Still no news on post mortem results, we're hoping it will be during this week. It won't change anything but I'd like a better understanding of what happened.
Panda's cremation took place yesterday morning. The crematorium is set in beautiful...
Hello all.
No post mortem results yet as the vet is waiting on some test results. I was thinking when we know what happened with Panda, of writing a new thread explaining everything i.e. When he became ill, symptoms, treatments and tests he had... Basically his whole story in a bid to help...
You've all been so kind to me, I really can't thank you enough. Our vet asked if he could do a post-mortem as he really wanted to find out what was wrong. I was hesitant, but so little is really known medically about beardies, if it helps just one dragon get better in future, and saves one...

Thank you all :) I feel I'm in good company here, among people who understand how much these babies mean :) Here's a photo of the little guy, taken in February....
Sadly, he doesn't look like this now :( he's very thin, he's eyes have sunken in somewhat, and he can't hold himself up so easily...
Hello :) we've taken all our babies for a check up around 6 months old, then around the end of the year (October/November time) for fecal screens to make sure everything is in order before they go into brumation during colder months. This is just my personal preference, others may suggest...
Hello, my name is Aimee. I'm new to the forum so I just wanted to introduce myself. I've joined because I have a seriously ill beardie, who is undergoing treatment from the vet, and I just feel like I need some support from others who have dragons, or have gone through something similar.
He...
