My son pulled this out of a drain pipe. Does anyone know what it is? It’s about 2 feet long. I’m guessing it’s a lost pet.

Looks like a spotted monitor not sure if it's a pet or natural wildlife where you live

OMG! Looks like some sort of monitor. I would contact the nearest reptile rescue center.

I have a aunt who breeds snakes and owns a few lizards including a monitor. She’s now taking care of it, as I can’t care for such a large breed. We believe it was dumped in a small pond or down a storm drain so I don’t think we will find the owners. So far he’s doing good and is eating. Still skittish of people, but It’s young so some tlc and he will be fine. :)
