What age can enclosure have sand?

its not so much a matter of age, in order to have loose substrate you have to be 100% positive that the rest of his husbandry (temps, humidity, feeding) is really on point. even with that, i would never do 100% sand, id do a mixture of play sand and organic top soil and wait until hes an adult.
