Tail rot?

Hello! One of my beardies is about 4 months old and today I noticed darkening in his tail. He’s really healthy, has the best care I can provide and has shown no signs of sickness. I looked up darkening tail on the internet and of course I get stuff that makes my stomach turn, yuck! Tail rot? Never had an issue like that and I’m not sure if I do have it or if I’m just a paranoid mom. Could his tail have darkened after he saw my big female beardie for a second? Let me know what you guys think!

Welcome to the forum , The big girl definitely scared him lol, not tail rot, it looks like a mixture of stress and or shedding starting, tail rot occurs usually from trauma/stuck shed and it not being kept clean. Its always good to Have some betadine on hand regardless for any cuts he may get, dilute it in water in a ratio of 1part betadine to 4 parts water.

Thanks so much! I will get some betadine for just in case situations. Also my post just shows what a worrisome mom I am lol. I was definitely falling into an online loop hole. Glad to know it’s stress (not that that’s good)
