My first thought is springtails. I always thought they were white but I did a google search and they can be a grayish black brown color. Do a search and see if they look like what's in your tank. They are harmless, in fact a lot of people purposely put them in their vivariums because they naturally clean your tank and don't mess the animals.

I'm not sure if this is what you have though.

Yeh i feed Diego locus n there r sumtimes little mites in the tub. Id suggest changing the sand to cleqn samd or betta tham that to tile or something else i changed Diegos viv to tile its cheap n easy cleaned. At lwast with tile if there get out the tub u can c them n remove them. Dnt think theyd do ur beardie any harm but no 1 wants bugs in there viv. I got tile from B&Q there wernt wven £2 a tile and it looks clean n tidy easy to wipe over and i found it keeps the temps up 2 ;)

They really cut back on dead crickets. I'm hoping to get small phoenix worms for Allie soon. I got them from Josh's frogs and hope these stimulate her appetite for live feeders. We need to get her back on feeders, live feeders. She's been munching on those silkworm pupaes that have to be cut up.

She meant substrate. As in whst do you have in the bottom for him. I see you have sand tho. I wouldnt put wood chips or bark in there to much if an impaction risk.
