Hi everyone! I just joined this forum, mainly because I'm worried about my beardies health. I got her about a year or two ago, she was already about a year old then and her owner felt he didn't have the time for her so I took her in. I was already planning on getting a bearded dragon, and although the I was planning on a baby boy, I had to get her. She is a normal beardie I believe. She was great; crickets along with collard greens, carrots, and the occasional fruits. I'm mainly concerned about an abscess looking thing on the side of her mouth. The picture included is when I digest noticed it, you can see the skin kinda sticking out. Now it seems like it's cracking and there looks like dried blood on it. When I open her mouth I can't see anything wrong on the inside. It hasn't effected her appetite or personality at all, but I'm unsure if it bothers her, since sometimes she will rub her face on her basking log. Any help at all is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! I wish I had an answer for you possibly a cyst? If she rubs it it likely is an irritant and should get checked.

I agree with the others. Don't mess around with anything in the mouth. Take her to the vet and get her looked at. It could be nothing serious right now but could lead to something bigger if not treated.
