Hi I’m nine and I just got a new beardie! I want to know some ways to bond with my beardie! It’s very small, so I can’t take it many places, and in my room, there are also many places that it can run too. It hasn’t done this yet, but I’m worried it might some day. I can’t really take it out of my room cause we have a dog! What should I do to bond with my beardie?

Hello! My favorite way to bond with my beardie when I first got her was when she'd go to sleep at night, I'd wrap her gently in a small fleece blanket and lay down and watch tv or read with her on my chest. They're so snuggly. You can do this early morning before their light comes on, too. They're sleepy and mellow and learn that you're safe and comfy.

Welcome to the forum! Pet her while she is in her tank and you can hold her in your hands while she is in her tank too. Just make sure that you don't try to pick her up over her head. That funny looking scale in the middle of her head is a gland that lets her see lights and shadows. Your hand going over her head could cause her to get scared thinking a bird is coming to eat her.
