I have been doing all that minus the probiotics and bee pollen.

I assumed you were doing all that and the probiotics too. I really think the probiotics will help a lot. Try to get some as soon as you can.

Sending you lots of prayers…

Until your dragon is doing better I would continue the slurries with probiotics, bee pollen, supplements etc just go slow and let them lick at it if possible as if you squirt it in they could inhale it.. keep tabs on weight to make sure they are not loosing..

Here is the most current picture and the only thing I notice that looks odd on him if you look really close you can see a piece of tissue in his mouth? Any suggestions on what it is?

Get him to a vet ASAP. He has a bacterial infection in his mouth that requires antibiotics. The white stuff in his mouth is plaque which is a sign of mouth rot. Please get him treatment soon.

Yikes that doesn't look normal at all.. I would have to agree with Patsy on this one. Is your vet a reptile vet?

Google pictures of mouth rot and take him to another reptile vet for a second opinion.

He has an infection in his mouth, this can lead to mouth rot (ulcerative stomatitis), and it's not uncommon. Your vet doesn't recognize this?

Ask your vet to run a culture to figure out if it's bacterial, viral, or fungal. Topical treatment with betadine or chlorhexidine works in minor cases, but your guy will probably need antibiotics to back it up. A lot of bacterial infections become antibiotic resistant quickly, which could be why your dragon is having issues despite having just come off of antibiotics.

If he doesnt continue to improve, take him in for a culture, and ask what the topical betadine or chlorhexidine needs to be diluted to so you can start treatment while you wait for the culture results.

A vet that doesn't recognize stomatitis would shoot up a red flag for me. It's a common occurrence among reptiles of any sort. Since having reptiles, I've gone through vets like tissues. It's difficult to find qualified herp vets. I found a specialized reptile hospital in Florida. If I can't get my girl on the straight and narrow I'll be taking a vacation haha.

I lost a dragon to stomatitis I wouldn't wait. I feel so lucky to have found my vet. He did 3 different cultures on my frog a few mos ago and was able to tell me what each one showed right away. Call around to vets and ask about their experience and don't hesitate to add your knowledge during the visit because I've found that it's helped the vet a few times to save my frogs. Good luck with your guy

Thought I would update everyone he's doing a lot better she started eating a little and pooping. (I did a dance when he popped finally). I have been giving him liquid calcium, multivitamin and reptiaid. They main issue I see is he's not walking. If I tug on any of front limbs he will pull I and scoot himself along He moves his back legs but will not stand up an walk. When he does move on his own he does this circle thing. (I him move into his light in the day and bed at night.

I can't see myself spending another $150 on the vet that can't tell me what's going on (all the vet said is "I think it's an impact ion).

Could this be some kind of stroke?

They should have done an xray to verify a blockage. Are there any other reptile vets in your area? I have to travel 2 hours to see a qualified vet that I can trust.

Sorry about the blank message! I don't know what happened. I do have a friend who is going thru this exact same thing with her dragon. Christy has a 4 year old dragon and she is doing the same thing. Won't eat, can't walk. She does this gulping thing with her mouth and this leg twitch. The vet did say she did have a mini stroke and that all they can do is make her comfortable. But you can see the life in her eyes and her trying to walk. She is doing all kinds of probiotics and electrolytes and this critical care powder. I can send her your information of you'd like.

Just curious, how your baby did after this? I'm here at the vet waiting for her to get an appointment for an ultrasound with a specialist for my baby....he seems to have the same symptoms and also ate 2 huge hornworms a couple weeks ago...The vet seems to think he has a heart condition

What are you using for a UVB? If your using a coil that is the issue ---- all these issues sound like lack of calcium and MBD --- calcium is absorbed and synthesized by the UVB --- if your using a coil they are inadequate

I just replaced both UVA/UVB and basking bulb with in the last month

The hot side is 102-107. And cool side is 78-80 degrees.

Last ate was Friday and he ate 4 horn worms. And pooped on Monday ( it was a little watery but not too bad. Still had consistency to it).

Do you think do to his hyper/mating activity for 4 days do you think he could be trying to go into brumation?

Yesterday I bought some liquid multi vitamins and calcium for dragons and am mixing it with pedialite. Giving it with a syringe in the corner of his mouth
At 3 12 years that is to hot maybe drop it to 95F but i am a new person but you found the place for help
