Lately Debras eyes have been getting a little watery while she is eating, is that a sign of infection? I’m getting conflicting answers on other sites. The only vet in my area is very very expensive so I don’t want to take her if it’s something that can be resolved at home.

I talked to her vet and she doesn’t seem too worried. We are keeping a food diary and so far it looks like her crickets are causing it, shes used to eating different insects so the vet thinks she’s chewing harder and that’s pushing on her tear glands a bit.

That’s very interesting... not to scare you or anything, but when my 2 1/2 year old was dying his eyes were very watery. Although his cause of death is not certain I’m almost positive he had some sort of pre-existing illness that took him in just over 12 hours. Can u post a pic of ur beardies eyes?

her eyes only water a small amount when shes eating and while I’ve been watching closely it happens specially when she’s eating larger crickets so I don’t think it’s anything like that. if It happens again I’ll definitely get a picture. I appreciate your concern :)
