I forgot to add she’s nearing her 1 year birthday. I don’t exactly remember how old she was when I got her from the reptil expo in April but she was definitely a wee little string bean. Here’s a pic of the day i got her…maybe you can help me determine her age with this pic.

Oh ok, I didn’t realize I had to put it where she sits. Ok I’ll move it now and than check it In a bit. Her tank is 18 inches high. The dimensions are 36x18x18.

So the probe I have is right under the uvb bulb and it reads 84.6. I will move it to the basking bulb area and take it there. I have the Arcadia 14 percent tube bulb. Resting right above the screen. It’s a stronger bulb. Where should I put the probe to get an acccurate temp reading? It won’t...

My girl has been keeping herself in her log 24/7. It’s been going on for a few weeks now if not more. I’ve pulled her out a few times, given her a bath and she would poo in the bath. After that she would sit on her rocks under the heat lamp but at some point in the following day she would burrow...

Hi! Ok so her basking temp is 97.2. I don’t have a temp for the cool side but it imagine it’s close to the temp of my apartment which is 78. We don’t usually have it that warm, usually my apartment is 75. She has a mvb on for over 12 hours a day. I think it’s 100w but I’m not positive. I feed...

Hi Sadie! I posted an update right after I posted the thread. No bloodwork was done. Said she had an alarming amount of Protozoa. Gave me ‘wormer’ to use once day/7days. Ultrasound is how they identified it was a bad case of constipation due to the Protozoa

Well she didn’t even eat those. She’s super picky. I’ve tried lots of different fruits and veggies that are on the ‘safe’ list and she doesn’t eat them…that I notice. I was feeding her wild dandelion greens too so I’m thinking maybe from that??

Yea I thought the same thing about that. Like I even asked if there was a wormer like we use for dogs and horses as a preventative and he said no…so I’m like ok then what do I do as she gets greens every day. He said just make sure you wash them. no she doesn’t get any outdoor bugs. I go to...

Thank you! Same here. I usually feed her collard greens and mustard greens. Some cucumbers, blackberry’s, blueberries…I guess maybe I’ll need to start washing better.

UPDATE: So little miss had a build up of poo. After the ultrasound, she passed a big amount of poo. So that is the cause…but they also ran a parasite test and it showed an alarming amount of Protozoa…he said likely from the fresh greens…the tech didn’t have much advice on a preventative measure...

Currently at the vet. Doing an ultrasound on my beardie. She hasn’t pooped in like 2 weeks. Dr thinks could either be impacted or follicular stasis. Anyone have any experience with this?? He said if it’s the follicular thing they might have to spay her. Single parent here with low budgets so I’m...
