    EMERGENY!! BEARDIE WITH PROBLEMS

I agree, keep him warm and bathe him every couple days at least and get him to a vet with a fresh stool sample asap, the bad smelling poo is usually not a good thing, his lack of eating and lethargic behavior could ether be early signs of brumation or it could be signs of a bad parasite...

Questions From a Brand New Owner!

Are you also dusting your insects with calcium supplements? They need calcium a few feedings each week as well. Do replace the particle substrate, I just use paper towels but there are other options anything but sand or loose substrate, it can cause problems with there digestion if they...

    Stopped eating in new house

You said he had a recent vet visit, did they check for worms or parasites? If he is healthy and doesnt have any worm or parasite issues then you may want to do some research on brumation, Beardies hibernate in the winter. If he is fully healthy then it sounds like it could be the signs of brumation.

Not sure what to do now

Finding a true reptile vet can be a struggle sometimes, I also have an hour drive to mine. I found mine on https://arav.org/ It sounds like your vet does have a little experience with dragons. At least they are able to identify weather its a high or low count, Iv heard of some that could only...

    HELP! BABY BEARDIE ESCAPED!

Dont give up hope, if he is still anywhere near your home you should see him basking somewhere nearby, keep look anywhere thats slightly elevated and has direct sunlight on it theres still a chance you could see him.

Is my beardie a boy or a girl?

You will know for sure if it starts popping out eggs one day

    Custom vivarium or store bought?

I also have a zen habitat, I love it, great size, easy to move if needed, not to expensive. Im not sure how much the materials would cost to build one but along with the labor Id say the zen habitat would be the best way to go IMO

    HELP! BABY BEARDIE ESCAPED!

Im really sorry for you, I can only imagine how stressed you must feel, Im not sure what els you could do to help find him, putting his lights out was a good idea, he probably is just hiding somewhere close and may come out today to bask, I would just keep an eye out for him to be out in the sun...

    New Baby Beardie!

Like Kaylyn said you need to feed him more insects and feed him greens EVERY DAY, also you may want to switch to dubi roaches if your able to get them, they are way more nutritious than crickets.

    Beach Sand media

I agree with Kaylyn on this one, and so does my Certified Reptile Vet, and the majority of the experienced bearded dragon comunity. Sand is a very bad choice for Beardies, even the so called calci sand or repti sand are just gimmicks that vendors put out there to try to make a sale. I use paper...

Not sure what to do now

Is your vet a true certified reptile expert or just a general vet? The vet is right about it not being good for a dragon with parasites or being treated for parasites to brumate, but some of his other advise dosent sound like advise from a true certified Reptile expert. Most reptile vets would...

    Scratching Glass

Coil UVB lights ARE NOT good for bearded dragons, anyone that says different is NOT an expert on bearded dragons, PLEASE do a little more research on UVB lighting specifically for bearded dragons, you will find that everything Kayly is saying about UVB lighting is correct and your dragon WILL...

    No crickets or dubia roaches?

Your best bet would be to try to educate your wife on the benefits of dubias, use the info Kaylyn posted and remind her that they are nothing like the common north American roach, they cant climb, and even if a pair do happen to get loose they can not naturally reproduce in our climate. They...
