It’s hard to tell if she’s overweight by the photo but I don’t think she is. What I did with my picky eater was I showed him the worm and when he tried to go after it I would quickly put a piece of kale or something in front so he’d attack the kale instead. It worked pretty good and then...
Lucky is 11 years old and I’m not sure if she’s acting funny or if I’m just paranoid. She just ate some melon and squash and now she’s opening her mouth and acting like she’s gonna throw up maybe?? Idk I’ll try and post the link to the video.
Hey, I see it’s been over a year since anyone has responded to you... this isn’t a very helpful comment but I am here for the same reason!! Is your beardie okay? Could be something to do with inadequate UVB lighting or a problem with calcium absorption. That is what I have been reading at least...
My friend sent me an ad from Facebook Marketplace about a 180 gal glass tank for sale and “the lizard comes with it”. I know nothing about the lizard but I’m sure if you asked the guy he’ll tell you more info. I didn’t inquire because I can’t take in another beardie at this time. Anyways, the...
Ok so.... the crickets like to reproduce sometimes in my Gecko’s tank. I decided to “harvest” the little guys and put them into my cricket feeder with some of the old coconut bedding. They get fresh food everyday and I mist the enclosure so maybe they will be comfortable enough to lay eggs... I...
I had to do some experimenting with my 40 gallon breeders. Right now I have a 150 Watt basking bulb which is what you may end up needing. And yes if you need to cool the tank down raising the bulb a bit higher should do the trick!
Heyo I was reading your messages on the thread because I’m nosy, but I just wanted to share with you that lettuce is not very good for beardies! Very low nutrition value. Store bought dandelion Leaves, kale, bok choy, cilantro, basil, and mustard greens are much healthier green options!
I had a beardie with pretty bad MBD. He lived to 9 years old (I’m pretty sure he died from cancer). My vet had me do physical therapy with him, and you are gonna wanna keep a close eye on her weight! Liquid/soft foods are ideal because MBD beardies sometimes have weak jaws. I suggest pumpkin...
You definitely want to raise those temps!! What Is the wattage of your basking bulb? You could increase the wattage and experiment with that works with your set up. My tip is to not have the basking bulb sitting on top of the tank. (I think yours isn’t but I can’t really see so I wanted to put...
