Tile and Vent for Enclosure Build Questions

Hello! I have a few questions regarding the tiles and vents I'm selecting for the enclosure I'm building.

Vents: My only question:

Is there any type of vent that is needed specifically or are any good as long as they allow air to come through?

Tiles:

Does it matter if the tile is rough or smooth?

Any types of tiles I should avoid or does anything work?

I'm probably going to get slate tiles as long as there's no problems with that type.

Thank you guys!

I don't think the vent matters. As long as you are providing ventilation it's fine. As far as the tile goes, you want something Without a glaze so that they can grip it. With smooth tile they will be sliding around on it.
