baby bearded dragon labored breathing and eye closing on one side only

Woke up this morning and saw my young bearded dragon was a bit dark in color, a little while later I noticed he is shutting his left eye totally closed and on the same side of that eye his breathing is very deep, would describe it as contractions around his left lung. The other side is totally unaffected. He's still dark in color, somewhat jumpy, and is just laying on the hammock dark with the eye closed and labored breathing on that side.

Does anyone know what this could be? Why only the left side (eye and lung) is being effected?
Any advice would be helpful, thanks...

This is the first time I've never noticed any issue with him and it's concerning.

also, i just noticed there's a bluish purple area under the eye that he's closing. i cleaned the eye with a small piece of moist paper towel and saw that
