Hi all,
I recently came home from being away for school for 2 years and got my 5 year old dragon back from a friend who was watching her. I did come home for some holidays and the summer so had been checking in and things seemed fine, but near the end I noticed her fat pads were sinking in...
Don't worry - no damage has been done and my scale friend is perfectly okay (a little bloated, but ok). I just wanted to make this post so no one else makes the same mistake. I feel like many people are already aware of this, but figured I would post it anyway for those in the dark like myself...
Hm... it shouldn't really be that expensive. By tiles are you meaning wall tiles, or floor? I think I only used maybe three tiles for my entire enclosure, and as suggested I just bought tiles from a 'reject box' at my local Rona. Maybe cost me $5 in total.

Babies eat a lot. I wouldn't worry too much. Just be sure your feeders are gut-loaded and serve fresh veggies alongside them. You would want to start worrying about obesity when movement is impeded/she struggles to get around.
My beardie has been super, super lazy since I upgraded her terrarium, so been doing some digging around her cage to see what could be the issue. I've been wondering if her UVB light is not getting in contact with her, as it rests on grooved wood (see picture) rather than hanging in the cage...
